07/30/2007 If the stomach growls after the course...
...on what the friend of a Japanese martial art ist thinking? On Sushi. ok, it wasn't quite so spontaneous anyway. Olaf and Sandra had invited to Sushi-preparing on the occasion of the Dan course at the 07/28. After 4 hours course we have met at the place of Olaf and Sandra, to study how makes Makis and Nigiris. After additional 2 hours we could finally present the result. For the first time it was extraordinary and it have already tasted super. Thank you for the ingredients & the sake to Olaf and Sandra and for the beer fitting for this sushi to Anke.

Like every year the Shindo Dojo enriched with Iaido- and Karate-demonstrations to the Cherry Blossom Festival. The Cherry Blossom Festival in Hanover is organized by the German Japanese society Chadokai in the Hiroshima-Hain (grove).

04/09/2007 Visit to Japan
On the occasion of the wedding of Masamitsu Kudaka Olaf Lotze and Sandra Leoni stayed in Japan and used the chance also for the training in the Hombu Dojo. Enclosed several impressions.
03/18/2007 Seminar with Dr. Tetsuhiro Hokama
At the last weekend Olaf Lotze and Dieter Franke went to a seminar with Dr. Tetsuhiro Hokama, 10th Dan Kobudo and Karatedo. He presented a first-class seminar in Kyusho jutsu, Tuite and Bo jutsu. The seminar was organized by the IMAF.

02/24/2007Shindoka successful on the 5th German championship
The 5th German championship of the Koshiki Karatedo took place on 24-2-2007. Approx. 70 participants from Hanover, Hamburg and Holland entered into the competition for the championship titles. The championship was delivered in Kata, Shiai and Kata Bunkai Kumite. Dennis Michailowski, Niklas Frühling, Patrick Herzog, Katrin Tarjmann and Sandra Leoni won 1st places from the Shindo-Dojo. 10/26/2006 Dan examinations of the Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Karatedo
The Saturday was a valuable day for karate-minded. At once 4 master degrees was examined. The examination to the 3rd Dan completes Sandra Leoni, Ralf B. Lindert and Jan Kittel,  the examination to the 1st Dan completes Wolfgang Fruehling. A high-quality Karate gave  to see for 5 hours in which the examinees showed which state they have technically and mentally reached on the way. Finally the other involved Karateka congratulate  with demonstrations of their own for the shown performance. Congratulations.


10/14/2006 Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Karatedo at the infa exhibition in Hanover
The Shindo-Dojo presented itself on the infa with a presentation the Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Karatedo today. The interested audience thanked you much approval. Further presentations find 14:30 hours on 10-15, 14:30 hours on 10-21 and 16:00 hours on 10-22 instead of at the stand of the German Japanese society into hall 26. We look forward to your visit.




09/23/2006 10 Years of Shindo Dojo - the picture of the anniversary
Full house in the Shindo-Dojo. On the occasion of the ten years' anniversary the students and masters of the Shindo-Dojo showed on 9-23-2006 how the martial art school has developed. About 100 students, friends and martial art interested peoples celebrated this event with Shihan Lotze. It was shown to presentations from all areas. More...

08/04/2006 The Shindo Dojo is Budo exclusive trainings center
The Shindo Dojo was certified as a Budo training center of the International Martial Arts Federation (IMAF). The Shindo Dojo is the only training center of this type in Lower Saxony with this variety of high-quality education possibilities for arts.

06/04-05/2006 The "Kenkokahn" on the Maschsee.
The Shindo-Dojo participates at the traditional dragon boat racing on the Maschsee also in this year. "kahn" behind "Kenko" is the german synonym for boat. The start was made in the fun sports class, they have qualified for within the last 2 years again and again. The fun sports class is the professional class under the amateurs. The in this year rejuvenated team made it on the 1st day of the race within 3 runnings to qualify for the semi-final. Kenkokahn reached place 12 after a hard fight of altogether 35 teams at the end of the weekend. A good result for the young team to which one can look forward already next year.

05/25-27/2006 Karateka on education in Switzerland
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Swiss Dojos Nakasu a 2 day seminar took place in Bottmingen with Soshihan Masayuki Kukan Hisataka. Together with the TSV 03 Sievershausen 9 Karatekas went from Germany to the seminar. Hanshi Hisataka deepened the knowledge to the topics Bunkai Kumite, Koshiki Karatedo and referee. Thank you also to the Swiss friends for the active exchange of ideas and the hospitality.

04/07-10/2006 Shihan Masamitsu Kudaka in Germany
Europa Seminar 2006For 4 days Shihan Masamitsu Kudaka, 6th Dan, took the training of Kenkokan and Koshiki Karatedo  into its hand. Masamitsu Kudaka is the son of the style head Soshihan Masayuki Kukan Hisataka and grandchildren of the style founder Kaiso Kori Hisataka. Kudaka is the okinawian equivalent for the japanese name Hisataka. While it was managing the training in the Shindo Dojo on Friday and Monday the Saturday and Sunday were whole in the sign of the 1st European Seminars for Shorinjiryu Kenkokan and Koshiki Karatedo. 3/4/2006: Successful Dan examinations
On the week-end 5 karatekas have graduated from their Dan examination successfully. The graduations of the Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Karatedo and the Koshiki Karatedo were checked. The Nidan was lent to Claudia Rathmann, Katrin Tarjman and Stefan Mierowski, the Shodan was lent to Patrick Herzog and the Shodan Ho to Wolfgang Frühling. 02-11/12-2006 IMAF lends 5. Dan Karatedo in Shihan Olaf Lotze
During the federal central course of the IMAF in Hamburg with which he was active as an adviser the IMAF lent 5. Dan Karatedo in Shihan Lotze. Furthermore he passed successfully the examination to 2. Kyu Tonfa-Jutsu. Congratulations.

01-28-2006 New executive team for the SKKD
Das neue Führungsteam des SKKDThis meeting was among others under the signof the new election of the executive team. Olaf Lotze deemed the activities and successes worthy of the year 2005 and thanked his team and the members for the done activity. After the relief of the entire executive the leadership team got newly elected: v.l. Jens Krause -- register inspector, Olaf Lotze, 1st chairman, Jan Kittel, 2nd chairman, Ines Sobotta, treasurer, Sebastian Redemann - secretary, Ulrike Reddemann - youth keeper. 11-05-2005 The Pictures of the 4th German Championship of Koshiki Karatedo
4. DM KoshikiOn 11-05 the 4-th German championship took place in Hanover. All together fought to 65 participants from Hannover, Hamburg, Switzerland, the Netherlands for the places in the Kata and in the Shiai. In a very friendly and sporty atmosphere many interesting Kata's and Shiai's were to be seen. You can find the pictures to the championship here>.

10-08-2005 The results of the Children Championship
On Saturday championship for Kids took place in the Shindo-Dojo.
Like in the past the kids in the age of 7 up to 11 had to show their knowledge in the categories Kumite and Kata. All together 21 children participated in this event. The parents and friends had a lot of fun to encourage the kids.
The results are:

Olaf Lotze could take the examination to the 2nd Dan in the Bo Jutsu at the weekend.

07-09-2005 Successful Kenkokan karate course in the Shindo-Dojo
Shihan Lotze organized a day course directly after its return from Japan in the Shindo-Dojo.
The participants heard the hot news from Japan and Shihan Lotze informed about the greetings of Hanshi Hisataka and further participants of the international course. Focus of the course was on the improvement of Katas, Kumite training and Kata Bunkai Kumite which participants worked out at the example of the Kata Koshiki Naihanchin.
The Shindo summer celebration formed the end of the day.

07-06-2005 Shihan Lotze returns from its 2-week Japan stay
After a 2-week stay Olaf Lotze has arrived in Germany again.
During his training stay in the Hombu Dojo Tokyo in the 1st week he took part also as a referee to the Koshiki Japan Open's. In the 2nd week Hanshi Hisataka organized a course on Okinawa with high-profile international participants. Part of the journey was also the visit on Kudaka Jima, a little island in front of Okinawa on which the shrine also is of Kaiso Kori Hisataka.

05-14/15-2005 Dragon boat regatta: Shindo ranks 1st in the small B final
After the promotion to the fun sport class the Shindo-Dragons met the new challenge this year for the first time. Behind difficulty in the 1st race the distribution of seats was optimized once again.
In this constellation the team made the 1st place in the small B final after a total of 5 races.
A very good performance for the amateurs of the Shindo Dojo in a class in which dragon boat professionals also go. Congratulations.

02-26/27-2005 Annual opening seminar 2005 of the IMAF Germany in Hamburg
The annual opening seminar of the IMAF Germany took place under the management of Shihan Hans D. Rauscher at the weekend. During the event Olaf Lotze could show his knowledge in interaction with the Sai and got the 1. Dan in the Sai-Jutsu for this performance. Anke Dewald got the 1st Clase in the Combat Arnis. On the occasion of its short visit in Europe Masamitsu Hisataka and Olaf Lotze met for a seminar in Switzerland.

12-18/19-2004 Iaido: Anneliese Weber fetches the 3rd place at the Iaido championships
Anneliese Weber ranked 3rd at the German IMAF-Iaido championships in the class 6-4th Kyu at the weekend. After this outstanding performance she passed in addition the examination to the 3rd Kyu of the Iaido on Sunday.

12-18-2004 Shindo Dan-Training
Gruppenbild Once again all active Karateka with at least the 1st Kyu were invited to join a special day of training in a very advanced group of students - to attend those excercises that usually miss out because the normal training lessons lack the time or space. Even far away living guests took advantage of this opportunity and so we were lucky to have friends from the Netherlands and Switzerland practicing among us.

On the occasion of the 40th International Year-End Budo Seminar of the Dako/Imaf in the South of Germany some of our Shindoka participated in Arnis examinations - with great success.

11-27-2004 Bonenkai
Once again an eventful year draws to a close - and once again all Shindo students were invited to join our annual Bonenkai. Traditionally this occasion is used to clean up even the best hidden parts of the Dojo, to sort out ballast that piled up during the last months and do possibly necessary repairs. Afterwards we took care of our personal well-being by paying a visit to a good chinese restaurant.
The best preconditions to start into a new year full of big and small successes in the Shindo Hannover.

Several Aikido Dan-Examinations took place this saturday. Although far from easy they have been passed by: Heike Ahlborn to the 2. Dan, Gerd Kittel to the 2. Dan and Michael Kladny to the 1. Dan.

Not an easy task if each of the three competition areas is in need of up to 5 referees.

07-26/08-09-2004 International Dan-Diploma have been awarded
Shodan Shiki in Hombu-Dojo 2004During their journey through Japan Heike Ahlborn, Ralf B. Lindert, Heike Anders and Uwe Anders have been honored by receiving international Dan-Diploma directly from Hanshi Hisataka. After the read out and hand over of the official documents, the belts, embroidered with personal Kanji, were awarded and tied to every student by Hanshi Hisataka himself. Shihan Olaf Lotze, Kengo received the Diploma to his last years graduation to the 5th Dan.
After the traditional Sake ceremony the graded students demonstrated their abilities in Kata and Kumite. The other Shihans, like Masamitsu and Hiroshi Hisataka, honored this event with their Kata demonstrations.

07-28-2004 Team Germany back in Germany - Sayonara Japan!
What began on July 10th was already over 18 days later, much too soon for all involved. After having visited Japan 7 times on his own, Shihan Olaf Lotze took some reinforcements with him this time and organized a Dojo-Journey par excellence: Hannover, Tokyo, Kyoto, Hakone and back. The impressions have been overwhelming: The excellent Training with Hanshi Hisataka, the vast number of temples and shrines, the fantastic food, all the interesting and nice people, the nature, .... Awesome!
Part of this adventure were: Olaf Lotze, Heike Ahlborn, Anke and Peter Dewald, Heike and Uwe Anders, Ralf B. Lindert, Sven Wergandt and Bjarke Amman from Basel, Switzerland.

5/30/2004 Shindo Dragons are vice champion of the fun-fun class in the dragon boat
They are the 2nd year. They have exercised 2 times. And they are already Vice champion of the fun fun class in the dragon boat: The Shindo Dragons. After they qualified for the semifinal without difficulties on Saturday, they could continue the success series on Sunday. More to this...

4/17/2004 9 Dan graduations lent
On Saturday Dan examination took place in the Shindo-Dojo. In the morning Dirk Wolfers had to prove his knowledge and reached the 1. Dan of the Aikido.
Then in the afternoon 8 karatekas showed her achievement under the critical eyes of Shihan Olaf Lotze, Shihan Hanspeter Krattiger (Switzerland) and Sensei Peter Lerck (Netherlands).

3/27/2004 Successful 3rd German Championship of the Koshiki Karatedo in Hanover
The Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Karatedo and Koshiki Karatedo Germany association (SKKD) organized the 3rd Open German Championship in Hanover. 02-14/15-2003 Successful IMAF course in Norderstedt/Hamburg.
During the participation in the 2nd annual opening course of the DAKO/IMAF Heike Ahlborn reached the 1st Dan Bo Jutsu, Olaf Lotze the 1st Kyu Sai Jutsu and Anke Dewald and Olli Thielking the 2nd Clase in the Arnis. Congratulations.

11-29/30-2003 Shindo successful on the European Championship & World League in Lisbon
The german team consisting of Shihan Olaf Lotze, Heike Ahlborn, Heike Anders, Sven Wergandt and Uwe Anders was successful in Lisbon on the European championship in 2003.
A European champion title, a place 1 in the World League, two vice-European champion titles and two 3rd places was the results of a successful weekend. More...

08-10-2003 Success in Japan
During a working visit in the Hombu Dojo Tokyo Olaf also took part in the Japanese Open Koshiki Karatedo champion hiply in the competition 'Kata Bunkai Kumite'.
He won in this discipline for the 1st place together with Alexandra Chambers from Autralien and Hiroshi Iwata (Japan) in the team. Congratulations!
They could present the Japanese audience parts together with Hanshi Hisataka from the Shorinijiryu Kenkokan Karatedo furthermore.

06-14-2003 Koshiki: Shindo succesfull at the Swiss Chamionships
The Swiss championships took place in Basel in the Koshiki Karatedo on 6-14-2003. The Shindo Dojo was extremely successful. The placings:

06-08-2003 Shindo Dragons ranked 6th place
At the annual dragon boat racing on the Maschsee the Shindo team, The Shindo Dragons, ranked 6th in the fun fun class after time.
In the qualification they could qualify for the final.
Unfortunately, the final had to be canceled because of thunderstorm.
The Shindo Dragonss took part in the competitions for the 1st time.
